Workshop on Cooperative Computing, Internetworking, and Assurance

Chengdu, China, April 5, 2005

 (WCCIA 2005, http://asusrl.eas.asu.edu/srlab/wccia05.html)

in conjunction with the 7th International Symposium on Autonomous Decentralized Systems Chengdu, China, April 4-8, 2005

 (ISADS 2005, http://isads05.swjtu.edu.cn/)

Scope

With the development of the high speed Internet and sophisticated web-based protocols, cooperative computing has emerged in the recent years and is becoming increasingly popular and important. Web-based computing is service-oriented and services must cooperate to achieve its high quality, performance, and reliability of services. Web-based computing presents a major paradigm shift in several traditional areas including resource management, communication, security, reliability, trustworthiness, and even the software development process. This workshop provides a forum for researchers to exchange their latest progress in the areas including but not limited to:

  • Autonomous and Decentralized computing over the Internet
  • Dependable and fault-tolerant computing over the Internet
  • Ubiquitous computing
  • Grid computing
  • Mobile agents
  • Performance and reliability modeling and simulation
  • Web services based computing
  • Quality assurance of web services
  • Service-oriented architectures and operating systems
  • Web based software development process, specification, design methodology, testing, and validation.
  • Reliability, security, safety, and trustworthiness of web-based computing
  • Collaborative verification and Validation
  • Web data management and data mining
  • Web protocols and description languages supporting cooperative computing, for example, ACDATE, SOAP, UDDI, UML, WSDL, XAML, XLANG, and XML.
